Sewing 101: Machine Basics
Friday, March 22nd @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm$54
New to sewing? Never touched a machine in your life? Wanna brush the cobwebs off that Home Economics class you took back in middle school? Or just want more confidence in approaching your projects? Well come on down! Let us walk you through the basics of using a machine, cutting fabric, and following simple patterns. You’ll walk out of class having completed a few simple projects, and more importantly, possessing the confidence to continue sewing on your own. This is a stand alone class, so feel free to take Sewing Bootcamp afterwards to continue honing your craft!
Supplies Needed: None. We supply all fabric and the machines, using a simple Janome 2212 that transfers knowledge easily and can be purchased from retailers for around $180. Please don’t bring your own machine.
Instructor Bio: Hayley has been sewing since the tender age of three. A jack of all trades, She has extensive experience with sewing, past works include upholstery, stuffed animals, home goods, clothing, alterations and repairs, tailoring, bags, and just about anything else you can think of!
