Beginner’s Watercolor: Florals and Botanicals
Tuesday, March 14th @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm$68
In Beginner’s Watercolor: Florals and Botanicals, working artist Becca Schillinger will teach you how to paint beautiful botanical and floral images using some of her favorite watercolor techniques. You will begin class with a series of short lessons on color, brushes, painting supplies, and basic painting techniques. Becca will teach you to lay down your composition and determine your color palette. You will practice color blending, creating gradients, and watercolor washes. And for your final project, you’ll complete a few fantastic watercolor paintings of your own using an assortment of floral and botanical images included in your class kit as reference. And don’t worry… Becca will be there to guide you, answer questions, and help you paint around any creative road blocks!
Supplies Needed: None. As part of this class, you will receive one Royal & Langnickel Watercolor Paint + Brush Set, one Sakura Pigma Micron drawing pen, one watercolor card set (15 cards), and other supplies and images necessary for class.
Instructor Bio: Becca Schillinger earned her BFA in drawing and painting from CCAC here in San Francisco, and was trained by drag queens in NYC on how to paint a fashion-week worthy face. She is a resident DIY rockstar, offering her talents across a number of WorkshopSF classes.
