Instructor Bio: Peeta Tinay grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. From 1990 to 2000, Peeta worked at The Caning Shop in Berkeley, CA, mastering the techniques involved in the restoration of wicker furniture. Today, she continues restoring both antique and contemporary wicker. Since 2008, Peeta has focused on constructing large scale, intricate baskets. She is represented by Culture Object Gallery in NYC and exhibits at juried fine art shows around the Bay Area and beyond. She also teaches beginning, intermediate, and advanced level basketry workshops both nationally and internationally.
