Sewing 102: Learn Zippers, Bag Linings, And Pockets With The Overlook Tote $110

During this all-day intensive workshop, intermediate stitchers (also suitable for advanced beginners) become bag-sewing experts and leave with a sleek, utilitarian, cross-body tote with zipper closure. Students will learn to construct a rugged waxed canvas tote bag that includes setting zippers and sewing a pocket into this lined bag! As a finishing touch, you’ll choose your own leather straps color and hardware colors to use for your completed Overlook Tote bag. This bag will be available in black, gray, brush brown, and burgundy red.

Some specific skills learned in this class include:
- Sewing liners
- Sewing zippers
- Attaching hardware (D-rings, etc.)
- Sewing pockets
- Working with waxed canvas and leather

PLEASE NOTE: This class is not the same class as Sewing 102: Learn To Sew A Waxed Canvas And Leather Tote Bag, which includes construction of the "Portsmith Waxed Canvas Tote". This class focuses on construction of "The Overlook Tote", which has a liner, cross-body strap, and inside pocket, as well as waxed canvas and leather material. This class also offers more in-depth, advanced "bag-making" instruction.

Prerequisite: You MUST have taken either Sewing 101 or Sewing Bootcamp at WorkshopSF, or you are already competent and comfortable using a sewing machine, in order to attend this class. If you have questions about the sewing skill level required by this class, please email us.
