New to sewing? Never touched a machine in your life? Wanna brush off the cobwebs from that Home Ec class you took back in middle school? Or just want more confidence in approaching your projects? Well come on down! Our sewing teacher Hayley will walk you through the basics of using a machine, cutting fabric, following simple patterns and welcomes any questions you can throw her way. You ll walk out of class having completed a few simple projects and more importantly, with the confidence to continue sewing on your own. This is a stand alone class, feel free to take either Sewing Bootcamp afterwards to continue honing your craft!
Teacher Bio; Hayley has been sewing her entire life. She enjoys backpacking as a means of seeing this great big world, free food, Dad jokes, and her lifelong ambition is to pet all of the dogs.
Supplies Needed: We supply all fabric and the machines, using a simple Janome 2212 that transfers knowledge easily and can be purchased from retailers for around $150. Please don’t bring your own machine.
