Wow, the name alone evokes leggy plants in compromising positions... but no, that is not the case!  In DIY Mounted Staghorn Ferns, Matti Salomaki and Megan Speckmann of Far Out Flora fame (http://faroutflora.wordpress.com/) teach you how to mount a shade-loving epiphytic (means: grows without dirt) plant atop a piece of driftwood or refurbished wood.  These magical beauties are more art than plant, evoking a pair of antlers....plant taxidermy anyone!?!  You will leave with one mounted staghorn fern on wood AND a booklet on how to care for it.
