Sewing 102: Alterations And Reconstruction $38
Once you’ve taken Sewing 101 or Rock & Roll Sewing, you should be ready to take on our Sewing 102 class! We take the basic alteration techniques and put them to practice. The class begins with a quick basic sewing refresher and a lesson on how to make pockets. For this class, bring in your own alterations projects for a little hands-on practice. (Projects include- shortening/ hemming jeans, making skinny jeans from flare or boot cut jeans, taking in a shirt or tee, shortening hem of a dress or skirt) Please bring 2-3 projects so we can choose the best one. You will leave with the confidence to do alterations that won’t leave your clothing looking like it got tossed on stage during a GWAR concert.

prerequisite: Sewing 101, Rock & Roll Sewing or equivalent.  (and by equivalent, we mean you already know how to use a sewing machine, wind thread around the bobbin, complete simple sewing projects w/ a machine.)

supplies needed: just bring in the simple alteration projects you’d like to work on if you want, though this is not required. scrap fabric is always welcome.
